小王子看到大片的玫瑰(five thousands of them)，发觉自己的玫瑰不是独一无二的，他哭了。
Chapter 21
小王子与苹果树下的狐狸交流，听狐狸举例讲什么叫驯服(tame: it means to establish ties)，于是小王子回到玫瑰园告诉玫瑰他们与自己玫瑰的不同（you are beautiful, but you are empty）。接着小王子又回到狐狸的身边与他道别。

小王子遇到扳道工，询问一些问题：关于火车，关于车上的人。
Chapter 23
小王子遇到一个卖止渴药丸的人，得知这种药可以为人们节省出53分钟的时间。
Chapter 24
这是我困在沙漠的第8天。我们面临缺水的困境。小王子告诉我星星很美，沙漠很美，但是他们美丽的东西是看不见的。终于，我带着小王在黎明时找到了一口井(found the well at daybreak)。

我们打水、喝水。小王子让我给他的小羊画一个嘴套。我得知明天就是小王子到地球整整一年的日子，也是他离开地球的日子，他需要回到当初降落的地点。
Chapter 26
我发现小王在墙沿上和蛇聊天时已经迟了，正好把掉下来的小王子接住。小王子说自己要走了，把自己的笑声送给我，这样我所拥有的星星就是会笑的星星。小王子说蛇是很坏的动物，玫瑰花是很娇弱的生物。

六年后的我还记得小王子，并猜测他的现状，羊和玫瑰花的现状。并请求读者如果去了撒哈拉沙漠不要匆匆离去，以便及时知晓小王子的再次到来。

第一章
Once when I was six years old I saw a magnificent picture in a book, called True Stories from Nature, about the primeval forest. It was a picture of a boa constrictor in the act of swallowing an animal. Here is a copy of the drawing.
当我还只有六岁的时候，在一本描写原始森林的名叫《真实的故事》的书中，看到了一副精彩的插画，画的是一条蟒蛇正在吞食一只大野兽。页头上就是那副画的摹本。
In the book it said: “Boa constrictors swallow their prey whole, without chewing it. After that they are not able to move, and they sleep through the six months that they need for digestion.” I pondered deeply, then, over the adventures of the jungle. And after some work with a colored pencil I succeeded in making my first drawing. My Drawing Number One. It looked like this:

I showed my masterpiece to the grown-ups, and asked them whether the drawing frightened them. But they answered: “Frighten? Why should any one be frightened by a hat?”

My drawing was not a picture of a hat. It was a picture of a boa constrictor digesting an elephant. But since the grown-ups were not able to understand it, I made another drawing: I drew the inside of the boa constrictor, so that the grown-ups could see it clearly. They always need to have things explained. My Drawing Number Two looked like this:

The grown-ups’ response, this time, was to advise me to lay aside my drawings of boa constrictors, whether from the inside or the outside, and devote myself instead to geography, history, arithmetic and grammar. That is why, at the age of six, I gave up what might have been a magnificent career as a painter. I had been disheartened by the failure of my Drawing Number One and my Drawing Number Two. Grown-ups never understand anything by themselves, and it is tiresome for children to be always and forever explaining things to them.
大人们劝我把这些画着开着肚皮的，或闭上肚皮的蟒蛇的图画放在一边，还是把兴趣放在地理、历史、算术、语法上。就这样，在六岁的那年，我就放弃了当画家这一美好的职业。我的第一号、第二号作品的不成功，使我泄了气。这些大人们，靠他们自己什么也弄不懂，还得老是不断地给他们作解释。这真叫孩子们腻味。

1. something was broken in my engine. 我的发动机里有个东西损坏了。 英文中很多被动表达但是汉语翻译出来是主动的意思。这个句子实用性也非常广，可以直接拿来用。 比如说something was broken in my bike. 我自行车出毛病了。
2.Neither....nor, 既不是...也不是... 写作里面用到会提分的。 Neither Sunny nor I heard you call. 桑妮和我都没有听到你叫。
3. It was a question of life or death for me. 对我来说这是个生与死的问题。句子很漂亮吧。忍不住会想到哈姆雷特里面那 句经典：To be, or not to be, that is the question. 生存还是毁灭，这是一个问题。

“If you please– draw me a sheep!”
“What!”
“Draw me a sheep!”
I jumped to my feet, completely thunderstruck-(['θʌndɚ'strʌk] 遭雷击的,极其震惊的，惊得目瞪口呆的). I blinked my eyes hard. I looked carefully all around me. And I saw a most extraordinary small person, who stood there examining me with great seriousness. （第一天晚上我就睡在这远离人间烟火的大沙漠上。我比大海中伏在小木排上那遭遇船难者还要孤独得多。而在第二天拂晓，当一个奇怪的声音叫醒我的时候，你们可以想到我当时是多么吃惊。一个小小的声音说道：
